“If you manage to create something that withstands time, something that remains untouched by the eccentricities of a particular age – something timeless, in other words - that is the greatest achievement.”

Welcome to the 2015 Porsche Parade Art Show!

2015 kicks off a year of reshaping the mission of the Art Show. The new mission of the Parade Art Show is to evolve the event into a showcase for amateur and professional artists from around the world to show their work inspired by the edicts of Dr. Ferry Porsche.

The evolution of the Art Show will only succeed by working hand-in-hand with you, the artists and PCA membership. I invite you to join me in making the Art Show portion of the Parade a “Concours of Creativity” in automotive arts excellence. There may be some growing pains for all of us, but nothing great can be forged without effort.

There are a number of updates taking place to the show’s divisions and categories (please see submission page for a complete breakdown). One of the new categories in the Competition divisions I am most excited about is the Recycle, Re-Use, and Re-Art.

The goal of this category is to challenge the artist to re-think the materials, and the source of the materials they use as an artist. Just because you make a smaller carbon imprint does not mean your art will have less impact.

Submissions must be made from something that would otherwise end up in the landfill, like car parts, grocery bags, newspapers, magazines, pop cans, plastic bottles, lids, coffee filters, CDs and CD cases, scraps of fabric, old kitchen utensils, old computer parts, puzzles, coffee cans, candy wrappers, food packaging, etc… Search on the Internet for terms such as recycled materials or trash art for more ideas. Be creative!

Another division update I will be launching this year is the Curated division of the Parade Art Show. My intention with the Curated portion is to develop a theme for each year’s Parade that is inspired by Porsche culture, design, engineering, and heritage. The Curated show is designed to draw the artwork of professional fine artists, commercial artists, and automotive designers from around the world to display art pieces of the highest caliber inspired by Porsche Culture at Parade.

With more then one thousand Parade attendees from around the globe viewing the Art Show last year it is an exciting time to share your inspiration and vision with your peers at the Parade. Whether you are twelve, twenty-four, or eight-four; an amateur or professional artist; join me in taking a step forward in French Lick.

The final BIG change is we will no longer be handling registration via mail. Please click on the link below that will take you to our online registration page.

There you can register for the Amateur Adult/Junior Competition Categories, The Curated show and the Art Show Reception.
