Parade Kids!

Parade Kids 2015 Results

60+ Kids Participated in Parade Kids this year.

As always, we followed along with the Adult Program on a kid level for our competitions.

We had multiple activities every day for kids of all ages.  We were treated to an entire building dedicated to our kids!  A BIG Thank you goes out to Chris Tann and his team at Kids Fest for their hospitality.  We had over 30 people take a hay ride to the stables and 40 people sign up to enjoy the Big Splash WaterPark.  Our daily Make and Take activities included making a Parade Banner and Rice Crispie Car!

THANK YOU! To our generous sponsors Michelin, Pirelli, Reliable Carriers Inc., Hollywood Wheels

Miniature  Car Concours:

Our kids painted cars and entered their own concours.  Almost 500 people voted in a People’s Choice judging.  We set up in the entry of the Conference center in front of the Goody Store  and our volunteers worked the crowd to get people to vote  - Thanks for voting if you participated!!

2015 Parade Kids in French Lick will be the MOST FUN EVER! The resort is exceptionally Kid/Family friendly so in addition to the PCA activities we have planned, they have additional activities galore! Our kids are in for a treat this year with our very own building to enjoy! The Kids Fest Building is place for kids to have fun in daily – painting, activities, spin art and even video gaming can be found here! French Lick Resort is proud to offer a bowling alley, arcade and pizza parlor on site, indoor and outdoor pools, and even “Foot Golf”! We are also planning a group activity off site – Going to an Indoor WaterPark! There is so much to for kids and families to do.  Most of our activities are included in Parade Kids. Just the Banquet Child Care nights and the Kids Night Out (Waterpark) cost extra. Last year we had 70 kids participate in parade (Ages 4 months -18 years old).  Registered kids will receive a Kids Parade T-Shirt and goodie bag at check-in.

This year kids will have access to their favorite Parade activities and some new ones too!  Below is a short description of the PCA activities planned for the week.  In addition, the resort has daily kid’s activities planned as well. The resort offers child care for kids 6-12 years old during the day and early evenings for a small fee. Something is going on every day – We hope you will join us!

Miniature  Car Concours: The Tradition continues!  Every kid gets to paint a wooden toy car and we have a “People’s Choice” Concours with awards given in each age group.

Make and Take Crafts:  We make fun projects together and they are yours to keep!  In the past we have made Candy cars, Porsche pictures, stepping stones, and decorated Frisbees and rocks.

Anything Goes Autocross:  A track is set up and the kids run it using anything that rolls – scooters, bikes, trikes, skateboards, rollerblades. In the past we have had a special visitor come visit the kids too!  Awards are given per age group.

“The Amazing Race” Rally – This was added in 2014 with great success! This is a fun team competition set up like a Gimmick Rally on foot. Awards will be given.

RC Cars:  Who doesn’t love remote control cars?  Bring your own or borrow ours!  Times will be listed to practice on the track and we have a competition later in the week with awards given in each age group.

Ice Cream Social: This is for everyone 1-100 years old…..come build your own Sundae!

Pool Parties:  Times will be listed on the schedule for Parade Kids to meet up and hang at the pool

Kids Night Out: (OK…parents are welcome too!)  Come out to Big Splash Adventure WaterPark (Additional cost $20 - pre-register please)

The T-Shirt and Tote Design Contest: All kids are invited to design the picture that will be used for the T-Shirt and Tote bag for next years Parade Kids. (2016 Jay Peak, VT)

Banquet Kids Camp/Childcare: During the Concours and Victory Banquet evenings we will again be offering childcare for $20 per child /night which includes: games and activities, movies and a kid-friendly meal.  (Additional cost; pre-register please)

Gimmick Rally and 5K Walk/Run :  Kid friendly events for kids to do with their parents.

Parents!  Please consider volunteering at one (or more) of our activities and join in the fun your children are having!  We need a lot of volunteers to make Parade Kids successful!
